A Drop Of Mountain Medicine - Baby Steps

This past weekend I’ve been to Andorra in the Catalan Pyrenees. I was to have been skiing a few days and spending some time teaching navigation but my current injury situation put an end to that 😤. After a dressing down from my Physiotherapist I am very clear as to the seriousness of a broken back/fractured vertebra, and now feel lucky to have made the trip at all.

Whilst disappointing not to have been able to ski I did manage to walk up the mountain a couple of times to enjoy the walk, the views, the cold fresh air and have a little bit of mountain medicine for the mind, body and soul.

It was also a chance to catch up with some very good friends who gave me absolutely no sympathy 😂

In a change from normal behaviour I’m going to have to listen to medical advice this time or the past 10years of study, qualifications will have been a waste of time. Who knows, if all goes well this time next month I may try walking with a rucksack on my back 💪
