WORKSHOP TIMINGS: 9am to 4pm (approx)

SUITABILITY: This 1 day workshop is designed to provide an opportunity for those wishing to head out on to the hills and mountains and be confident of their navigation skills & knowledge.

WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES: Through discussion, demonstration, explanation and attendee practical application, the workshop will provide an understanding of utilising suitable strategies to successfully navigate using manmade & landscape features. We will also look at contour interpretation, and understanding contour features on the map when relating the map to the ground.

EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED: Personal clothing and equipment as required appropriate to the weather conditions expected on the day. Full kit list will be sent out on booking completion.

INCLUDED: Workshop leadership, planning, organisation and instruction by fully qualified, experienced and Mountain Training Association approved workshop provider/Mountain Leader Award Course Director.

NOT INCLUDED: Travel, accommodation, any other expenses such as parking fees, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: We recommend taking out travel, personal accident and cancellation insurance.
