SUITABILITY: This 2 day workshop is designed to provide an opportunity for aspirant Mountain Leaders to refresh knowledge and practical skills in preparation for attending an award assessment. The workshop is also open to qualified ML's who may wish to recap and avoid 'skills fade'.
WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES: Through discussion, demonstration, explanation and attendee practical application, the workshop will provide an understanding of utilising suitable skills in a variety of areas of the Mountain Leader Award syllabus.
This 2 day workshop will combine our popular 'Mountain Leader - Steep Ground & Ropework Management' & 'ML\HML Navigation Refresher (Contours & Landscape Features)' & Night Navigation workshops.
We will also look at other elements of the Mountain Leader Award syllabus that relate to our 2 days including - kit, emergency procedures, weather forecast interpretation & leadership.
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED: Personal clothing and equipment as required/expected to be carried by a Mountain Leader, appropriate to the weather conditions expected on the day.
ML ropes & helmets will be provided if required.

INCLUDED: Workshop leadership, planning, organisation and instruction by fully qualified, experienced and Mountain Training Association approved workshop provider.
NOT INCLUDED: Travel, accommodation, any other expenses such as parking fees, etc.
